Software Engineer in Test

You are an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who will be joining Archipelago, a company dedicated to transforming the commercial property insurance industry. As part of a small engineering team distributed around the US, India, & Europe, you will be responsible for building and maintaining an automated test infrastructure to improve the confidence in our deployments. **Role Overview:** As an SDET at Archipelago, your primary responsibility will be to build, deploy, and maintain an automated test infrastructure for the Archipelago application. This infrastructure will be essential for validating all aspects of the product operation, evaluating product functionality, and creating test strategies and automation frameworks to assess product health. **Key Responsibilities:** - Build, deploy, and maintain an automated test infrastructure for the Archipelago application - Evaluate product functionality and create test strategies, automation frameworks, and automated test cases - Integrate with CI/CD pipeline to establish a continuous build and test cycle - Establish processes and tool set to maintain automation scripts and generate regular test reports - Diagnose issues, report defects, and propose regression tests - Partner with product and engineering teams to define requirements and ensure testability **Qualifications:** - 3+ years of software development experience with a focus on testing and automation - Deep familiarity with automation frameworks such as Cypress or Selenium - Solid knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and React - Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus - Ability to work independently as part of a distributed team - Excellent communication and collaboration skills - Strong time management and organizational abilities - Willingness to work approximately 4+ hours overlap with US time zones for collaboration **Additional Details:** Archipelago offers excellent benefits to all employees, regardless of their career stage.
