Support user growth experiments through developing quick prototypes with product management in production. Maintain and improve quality, performance, architecture, and security of existing functionality. Bring your expertise to mentor and grow not just junior engineers but the whole squad. As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at Archipelago, your role will involve building and maintaining an automated test infrastructure for the Archipelago application. You will work with a small engineering team distributed around the US, India, & Europe, iterating quickly, shipping every day, and building for the long term. Your passion for innovation, commitment to excellence, and drive to empower customers will be crucial in this role. **Key Responsibilities:** - Build, deploy, and maintain an automated test infrastructure for the Archipelago application to validate all aspects of the product operation. - Evaluate product functionality and create test strategies, automation frameworks, and automated test cases to assess product health. - Integrate with CI/CD pipeline to establish a continuous build and test cycle. - Establish processes and toolset to maintain automation scripts and generate regular test reports. - Diagnose issues, report defects, and propose regression tests to catch recurring bugs. - Partner with product and engineering teams to define requirements and ensure testability. **Qualifications:** - 3+ years of software development experience with a focus on testing and automation. - Deep familiarity with automation frameworks such as Cypress or Selenium. - Solid knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and React. - Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus. - Ability to work independently as part of a distributed team. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Excellent time management and organizational abilities. - Willingness to work approximately 4+ hours overlap with US time zones for collaboration.
