Software Engineer III - Java, Kubernetes, AWS

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level.As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Consumer and Community Banking, you serve as an integral part of a technology team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a technical contributor , you are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

• Designing, build and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure and platforms using AWS Services
• Working closely with development teams, architects, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Develop automation tools for efficient, noiseless alerting, toil, and technical debt.
• Analyzing and optimizing the performance of the platform to ensure resiliency, high availability, and responsiveness.
• Ensuring that the platform is secure by implementing best practices and security measures, such as access controls, encryption, and vulnerability assessments.
• Troubleshoot minor/major incidents and contribute to resolution through post-mortems.
  

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
• Committed to continuous learning and improvement. Identify opportunities for improvement, explore new ideas, and methodologies that enhances our systems.
• Proficient in AWS and Kubernetes
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
• Hands-on experience with cloud deployment, monitoring, and ops analysis tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace.
• Proficient in at least one software language (e.g. Python/GO)
• Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Knowledge of AWS security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security.
• Understanding of AWS AI and machine learning services like SageMaker, Rekognition,
• Understanding of machine learning algorithms and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch an added advantage.
