Job Description

Role Overview: As a Software Engineer I - Java at the company, you will be responsible for providing support to applications software by programming, analyzing, designing, developing, and delivering software solutions. You will research alternative technical solutions to meet changing business needs. Key Responsibilities: - Program, test, implement, document, maintain, and support systems application software in adherence to MasterCard standards, processes, and best practices. - Develop high-quality, secure, and scalable software solutions based on technical requirements and design artifacts within the expected time and budget. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features, while continuously exploring and adopting new technologies to enhance development efficiency. - Research, create, and evaluate technical solution alternatives for current and upcoming business needs, technologies, and frameworks. - Conduct feasibility studies, logic designs, detailed systems flowcharting, input-output flow analysis, cost and time analysis. - Work with project teams to meet scheduled due dates, identify emerging issues, recommend solutions, perform assigned tasks, and manage production incidents. Participate in on-call pager support rotation. - Document software programs following Software Development Best Practices and adhere to MasterCard Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes. - Assist Senior Team members in modifying documentation templates as per project and technology requirements. - Contribute ideas to establish and enhance standards, improve process efficiency, and support the collection and reporting of project and software metrics. Qualifications Required: - 6 months to 1.5 years of overall career experience in Software Development. - Excellent and strong coding and programming skills. - Proven knowledge of Software Engineering Concepts such as OOPS and DSA's. - Thorough understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies. - Demonstrated MC Core Competencies. Additional Details: You will be expected to be high-energy, detail-oriented, and proactive, capable of functioning under pressure in an independent environment. Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on relationship-building, collaboration, and organization. Ability to work effectively as a member of a diverse, geographically distributed project team.
