Job Description

As a Software Engineer I - Java, your role involves providing support for application software by programming, analyzing, designing, developing, and delivering software solutions. You will research alternative technical solutions to meet changing business needs. Your major accountabilities include: - Programming, testing, implementing, documenting, maintaining, and supporting systems application software in adherence to MasterCard standards, processes, and best practices. - Developing high-quality, secure, and scalable software solutions based on technical requirements specifications and design artifacts within expected time and budget. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, while continuously evaluating and implementing new technologies for development efficiency. - Researching, creating, and evaluating technical solution alternatives for current and upcoming business needs, technologies, and frameworks. - Performing feasibility studies, logic designs, detailed systems flowcharting, analysis of input-output flow, and cost and time analysis. - Working with project teams to meet scheduled due dates, identifying emerging issues, recommending solutions, performing assigned tasks, and participating in production incident management. Your knowledge/experience should include: - 6 months to 1.5 years of overall career experience in Software Development. - Excellent coding programming skills and proven knowledge of Software Engineering Concepts like OOPS and DSA's. - Thorough understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies. - Demonstrating MC Core Competencies. Your skills/abilities should encompass: - Being high-energy, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to function under pressure in an independent environment. - Providing the necessary skills for a high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and willingness to learn and tackle challenging opportunities. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with relationship-building, collaborative, and organizational abilities. - Ability to work as a member of a matrix-based, diverse, and geographically distributed project team. Additionally, you are responsible for corporate security by: - Abiding by Mastercard's security policies and practices. - Ensuring confidentiality and integrity of the accessed information. - Reporting any suspected information security violation or breach. - Completing all periodic mandatory security trainings as per Mastercard's guidelines.,
