Role Overview: As a developer for the IT Crew Obtain Pension Solutions at UBS, your role will involve designing and building next generation business applications using the latest technologies. You will work closely with the Requirements Engineer, Solution Architect, and Product Owner to translate requirements into tasks and stories for the development team. Additionally, you will be an active member of the development team, ensuring the highest quality delivery of software and supporting the team with your development skills. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the Requirements Engineer, Solution Architect, and Product Owner to translate requirements into tasks and stories for the development team - Actively participate in the development team (Backend & Frontend) to deliver software that enables business growth and strategy - Ensure highest quality delivery of software and implement quality measures and checks - Manage the full development cycle, including documentation, unit testing, and test automation scripting - Support the team with your own development skills and abilities Qualifications Required: - B.S. degree (or similar) in Computer Science (or similar) with more than 5 years of experience in Java Backend and JavaScript Frontend development - Solid knowledge of Java, including Functional and Object-Oriented Programming, Test Driven Development, and testing automations - Expertise in design patterns and distributed architecture, with a focus on delivering quality software using best practices - Experience in designing and implementing REST APIs and understanding full end-to-end integration - Proficiency in Spring Framework, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, JEE, Servlets, JPA (Hibernate), SQL, RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL), DML / DDL scripts, Cloud native technology, DevOps, and Flowable Business Process Automation - Familiarity with Agile Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), financial services industry, and Web development with React, JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, and Web unit / integration testing - Excellent problem-solving skills, team player, with strong communication skills and fluency in English About the Company: UBS is the world's largest and the only truly global wealth manager, operating through four business divisions: Global Wealth Management, Personal & Corporate Banking, Asset Management, and the Investment Bank.
