What You'll Do At H1
As a Backend Software Engineer, you'll be instrumental in designing and building the systems that power our data platform. You will collaborate across engineering, product, and data teams to create robust, scalable, and efficient backend services and data workflows using Java, Python, and SQL .You will :
- Design and implement backend services and APIs using Python and Java
- Write efficient and optimized SQL queries for relational databases
- Build scalable, reliable, and secure systems that support high availability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and contribute to best practices
- Monitor and debug production systems and optimize performance
- Write unit, integration, and system tests to ensure code quality
- Document system designs, architecture, and operational procedures

- You have a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.

Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or similar languages.
- Strong SQL skills, including the ability to write optimized complex queries for large datasets using advanced SQL operators such as GROUP BY, HAVING, window functions, and complex joins.
- Experience building RESTful APIs or microservices
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Experience working on cloud platforms like AWS
- Experience with Docker or other containerization technologies.
