Software Asset Manager

The Software Asset Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating SAM-related projects within the IT service management framework. You will be managing various stages of projects including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. It is crucial to ensure that SAM processes are consistently followed to maintain data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with ITIL best practices. You will also be required to liaise with internal teams, vendors, and business units to align SAM processes with organizational goals and timelines. Maintaining comprehensive project and process documentation is a key aspect of this role. You will be responsible for creating and managing project plans, status reports, risk assessments, and project timelines. Identifying, monitoring, and mitigating risks and issues associated with SAM initiatives will be part of your duties to ensure project milestones are met successfully. Continuous improvement in SAM practices, tools, and workflows is essential. You will need to identify opportunities for enhancement and implement process improvements accordingly. Additionally, overseeing the implementation, configuration, and optimization of SAM tools to support asset and configuration management processes is crucial for effective software asset management. The role also involves License Server management, including setup, monitoring, and maintenance. You will be responsible for ensuring software licensing agreements are adhered to and developing strategies to prevent non-compliance issues, audits, and associated risks. Generating and presenting regular reports on SAM project progress, asset status, and configuration accuracy to senior management will be part of your responsibilities to ensure transparency and accountability.,
