Software Asset Manager

As a Software Asset Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing SAM-related projects within the IT service management framework. Your responsibilities will include: - **Project Management:** Lead and coordinate SAM-related projects through all stages, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. - **Process Governance:** Ensure consistent adherence to SAM processes to maintain data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with ITIL best practices. - **Stakeholder Management:** Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and business units to align SAM processes with organizational goals and timelines. - **Documentation:** Maintain detailed project and process documentation, such as project plans, status reports, risk assessments, and timelines. - **Risk & Issue Management:** Identify, monitor, and mitigate risks and issues related to SAM initiatives to ensure project milestones are achieved. - **Process Improvement:** Continuously identify opportunities to enhance SAM practices, tools, and workflows. - **Tool Management:** Oversee the implementation, configuration, and optimization of SAM tools to support asset and configuration management processes. - **License Server Management:** Setup, manage, monitor, and maintain license servers effectively. - **Reporting & Analytics:** Generate and present regular reports on SAM project progress, asset status, and configuration accuracy to senior management. - **Software Licensing & Compliance:** Ensure adherence to software licensing agreements, develop strategies to prevent non-compliance issues, audits, and associated risks.
