Job Title: Primary Social Science Teacher (Grades 1-5 ) Company: Paavai Vidhyashram CBSE School Location: Namakkal, Tamil Nadu Job Type: Full-time Salary Range: ₹20,000 - ₹25,000 per month Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate, dynamic, and experienced Primary Social Science Teacher to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will inspire young learners (Grades 1-5) to develop a profound understanding of history, geography, civics, and environmental studies. You will create an engaging and interactive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, curiosity, and a lifelong appreciation for the world around them. Key Responsibilities: Curriculum & Instruction: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate Social Science lessons aligned with the CBSE. Utilize diverse teaching methodologies, including storytelling, debates, role-playing, projects, and educational technology to foster active learning. Differentiate instruction to cater to varied learning styles and abilities within the classroom. Student Development: Inspire curiosity and critical thinking about societal structures, historical events, geographical concepts, and civic responsibilities. Foster empathy, cultural awareness, and respect for diversity among students. Encourage student participation in discussions, research, and collaborative projects. Assessment & Feedback: Regularly assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive and timely feedback. Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance. Classroom Management: Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment that promotes learning and respect. Address student behavior effectively and promote a sense of responsibility. Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate effectively with colleagues, school administration, and parents/guardians to support student well-being and academic success. Participate actively in school events, professional development programs, and faculty meetings. Beyond the Classroom: Organize and supervise educational field trips, projects, and extracurricular activities related to Social Science. Contribute to the overall positive ethos and culture of the school. Required Qualifications & Skills: Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Social Science (History, Geography, Political Science, Sociology, Economics) or a related field. Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a recognized university is optional. Experience: Experienced / freasher years of proven teaching experience as a Primary Social Science Teacher (or general primary teacher with Social Science expertise) in a reputed school.
