Snowflake developer

The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Snowflake development, SQL, ETL pipelines, and data ingestion using Hevo. The role involves developing scalable data solutions, optimising warehouse performance, and supporting analytics and reporting requirements.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Snowflake data models, schemas, tables, views, streams & tasks.
  
• Build and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using Hevo, including data ingestion from multiple sources.
  
• Implement data transformations using SQL, stored procedures & Snowflake features.
  
• Monitor and optimize warehouse performance, credit consumption & query efficiency.
  
• Build secure data sharing, role-based access control (RBAC) and governance policies.
  
• Support BI/Analytics teams by providing clean and well-structured datasets.
  
• Troubleshoot data quality, ingestion failures, and performance bottlenecks.
  
• Collaborate with stakeholders for requirement gathering and solution design.

Required Skills

• 
  2–4 years of hands-on experience in Snowflake development.
  
• Practical knowledge of Hevo data pipelines (sources, destinations, scheduling, transformations).
  
• Experience in data modelling (Star/Snowflake schema, staging & warehouse layers).
  
• Strong understanding of ELT design, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
  
• Knowledge of Snowflake features:
  
• Warehouses, Resource Monitors
  
• Tasks, Streams, Time Travel, Zero Copy Cloning
  
• File formats & Snow-pipe (preferred)
