Technical Skills Required:

• Data Modeling: Creating and managing data models within Snowflake, including designing and implementing schemas, tables, and views.

o Working with structured, semi structured and unstructured datasets

o Solid knowledge of Geospatial data types within Snowflake

• Data Integration: Developing and managing data integration solutions to efficiently load and transform data from various sources into Snowflake.

o Knowledge with SnowPark, SnowPipes, Table Streams, Tasks,etc

o Developing and maintaining APIs that are utilized to access data within the Snowflake datawarehouse.

• Query Optimization: Writing and optimizing complex SQL queries to ensure efficient and high-performing data retrieval and analysis.

• Performance Tuning: Identifying and resolving performance issues within Snowflake, optimizing database structures and queries for improved speed and efficiency.

o Knowledge with clustering, data warehouse sizing, credit quotas, etc

• Data Security: Implementing and maintaining data security measures within Snowflake to ensure the protection and integrity of sensitive information.

• Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitoring the performance and health of Snowflake databases, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise, and performing regular maintenance tasks.

• Collaboration: Collaborating with data engineers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective data solutions.

• Documentation: Creating and maintaining documentation for Snowflake database processes, procedures, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and efficient collaboration within the team.

• Troubleshooting: Identifying and troubleshooting issues related to data storage, data processing, and data analysis within Snowflake.

• Continuous Improvement: Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data warehousing and making recommendations for continuous improvement of Snowflake data solutions.
