Snowflake Data Engineer

Role Overview: The Snowflake Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions on the Snowflake platform. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data warehousing principles, advanced SQL skills, and experience with Snowflake-specific features and best practices. key Responsibilities: • Data Integration & ETL Processes: o Design and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Snowflake. o Develop and maintain data pipelines using Snowflake’s native features and third-party tools. • Data Modeling: o Create and maintain data models and schemas that optimize performance and facilitate business intelligence. o Develop and implement data warehousing solutions that support analytical needs. • Performance Optimization: o Monitor and optimize the performance of Snowflake queries and processes. o Implement best practices for data loading, querying, and indexing to ensure efficient data processing. • Collaboration & Support: o Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide effective solutions. o Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in collaboration with other team members. • Documentation & Compliance: o Document data processes, schemas, and solutions to ensure clear understanding and knowledge sharing. o Ensure compliance with data governance policies and security standards. Qualifications: • Experience: o Minimum of 4 - 6 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role. o Proven experience with Snowflake data warehousing solutions and ETL processes. • Technical Skills: o Strong proficiency in SQL and Snowflake-specific SQL functions. o Experience with Snowflake’s architecture, data modeling, and performance optimization. o Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration with Snowflake. • Soft Skills: o Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. o Strong communication and collaboration abilities. o Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. • Education: o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications: • Certifications related to Snowflake or cloud platforms (e.g., SnowPro Certification). • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI. • Knowledge of programming languages like Python or Java or C#.
