SMTS Software System Design Eng (QA Architect)

As a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) Software Systems Design Engineer at AMD (Advanced Micro Devices), you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing the overall QA strategy and frameworks for testing embedded and GPU-based software products across various hardware and software configurations. Your responsibilities will include evaluating and enhancing existing QA methodologies, tools, and processes, collaborating with software developers and QA teams, analyzing and debugging complex failure scenarios, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate for this role is a seasoned professional with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, along with at least 12 years of relevant experience. You should have proven expertise in a QA Architect or Senior Technical QA Engineer role, particularly in the embedded software and GPU domain. Your strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, as well as your familiarity with embedded software processes, systems architecture, and GPU technologies will be essential for success in this position. In addition, you should possess programming skills in languages such as C, C++, and Python, familiarity with various embedded and GPU hardware platforms, and experience with AI/ML frameworks, models, and data center tools. Experience with automated testing tools, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, version control systems like Git, and bug tracking tools such as JIRA will also be beneficial for this role.
