As a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) Software Systems Design Engineer at AMD (Advanced Micro Devices), you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing the overall QA strategy and frameworks for testing embedded and GPU-based software products across various hardware and software configurations. Your responsibilities will include evaluating and enhancing existing QA methodologies, tools, and processes, collaborating with software developers and QA teams, analyzing and debugging complex failure scenarios, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate for this role is a seasoned professional with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, along with at least 12 years of relevant experience. You should have proven expertise in a QA Architect or Senior Technical QA Engineer role, particularly in the embedded software and GPU domain. Your strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, as well as your familiarity with embedded software processes, systems architecture, and GPU technologies will be essential for success in this position. In addition, you should possess programming skills in languages such as C, C++, and Python, familiarity with various embedded and GPU hardware platforms, and experience with AI/ML frameworks, models, and data center tools. Experience with automated testing tools, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, version control systems like Git, and bug tracking tools such as JIRA will also be beneficial for this role. As an SMTS Software Systems Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive test plans, test suites, and test cases, providing training and mentorship to QA engineers, and staying current with the latest trends and technologies in the embedded software and GPU domain. Role & responsibilities: Administer and support Atlassian Cloud tools, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo. Configure and maintain Atlassian tools to meet business needs and follow established standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Atlassian tools with other systems. Manage permissions and access control via Atlassian Access for corresponding tools and projects. Develop, POC, and maintain custom marketplace plugins, workflows, and reports as needed. Extensive hands-on experience in setting up, configuring, and managing Atlassian DC or Cloud. Experience with automation and scripting to streamline workflows in Jira and JSM. Proficiency in configuring workflows, screens, fields, permissions, and other Jira components. Hands-on experience with the installation and upgrade of Atlassian applications and associated plugins (e.g., ScriptRunner, Xray, Zephyr). Knowledge of at least one scripting language such as Python or Groovy. Experience in migrating and consolidating projects and spaces between Atlassian instances. Strong expertise in creating Jira dashboards, queries, and reports. Ability to write JQL (Jira Query Language) for advanced searches and reporting. Understanding of Agile and Kanban methodologies. Agile project management experience: 2+ years of experience designing and customizing workflows, managing project permissions, and optimizing project lifecycle management within Jira and Confluence. Certifications and experience: At least one Atlassian Cloud/Jira certification (ACP) and an understanding of advanced Jira Query Language (JQL), workflow schemes, and project templates.
