Site Supervisor

Core responsibilities Project oversight: Manage daily construction operations, ensure milestones and schedules are met, and execute work according to approved plans. Staff and subcontractor management: Supervise and coordinate the work of site staff, subcontractors, and vendors. Assign tasks, manage work schedules, and maintain discipline. Safety and compliance: Enforce safety standards, conduct site inspections, handle accidents, and ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations and building codes. Quality control: Check the quality of work, inspect materials, and ensure that all work is completed according to quality standards. Documentation and reporting: Prepare progress reports, document all work done, and maintain records of materials, labor, and inventory. Resource management: Manage material orders and deliveries, track inventory, and ensure equipment is in good condition. Communication: Lead site meetings, communicate with clients, consultants, and senior management, and act as a liaison between different parties.  Required skills and qualifications Leadership and management: Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills are essential. Technical knowledge: Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and processes, and awareness of building codes and safety regulations are crucial. Problem-solving and analytical skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are needed to troubleshoot issues as they arise. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for interacting with various stakeholders. Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Experience in site supervision (often 3-5+ years) and relevant field (e.g., Construction Management, Engineering). Proficiency with project management software.
