Job Title: Site Supervisor – Door-to-Door Waste Collection

Role Overview

You will supervise the daily operations of door-to-door waste collection across a designated area in Surat/Vadodara. Reporting to two Waste Supervisors and managing several collection vehicles along with field staff, your goal is to ensure efficient, compliant, and properly segregated waste management—dividing wet and dry waste at the source. You'll need to be mobile, communicative, safety-conscious, and experienced in solid waste operations.

Key Responsibilities

Team & Operations Oversight

Coordinate daily field operations with two Waste Supervisors and assigned collection teams.Oversee collection routes, schedules, and ensure tasks are completed on time.Assist in planning and optimizing collection frequency and workflow efficiency.

Waste Segregation & Compliance

Monitor and enforce segregation of dry and wet waste at the collection points.Uphold compliance with SWM rules and municipal guidelines.

Vehicle & Safety Management

Verify daily pre- and post-trip checks for collection vehicles (2-wheelers, trucks, etc.).Ensure staff use appropriate safety gear and adhere to safe collection practices. ScribdGulfTalent

Communication & Reporting

Stay in regular contact with waste collectors via smartphone.Report issues, performance updates, and compliance matters to higher-level supervisors or municipal authorities.

Community Interaction

Qualifications & Requirements

Proven experience in operations within solid waste management or similar field.Valid two-wheeler driving license and a personal bike for mobility between collection zones.Proficient with a smartphone for communication and progress tracking.Strong understanding of dry-wet waste segregation and relevant municipal regulations.Capable of supervising field teams and managing vehicles.Effective communication and interpersonal skills for staff supervision and resident coordination.

Reporting Structure

You will directly report to two Waste Supervisors.You may collaborate with municipal officials, sanitation agencies, or civic bodies to ensure compliance and smooth operations.
