Site Quality Executive

Purpose/Objective

The Site Quality Executive - Civil ensures effective material testing, inspection, and calibration of equipment. They oversee construction quality control, manage non-conformities, and provide quality training. With expertise in technical standards and compliance, they coordinate with stakeholders to ensure adherence to quality standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Material Testing and Inspection: Organizing Field & Lab testing of various construction materials such as soil, coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, water, cement, reinforcement, Chemical/Mineral admixtures Review of test certificates for cement, reinforcement steel, admixtures, etc Receipt Inspection of materials with respect to PO, Inspection reports, etc Ensuring identification of products and traceability as required and indicating inspection and test status of jobs inspected Calibration of measuring and testing equipment such as Lab equipment, Survey instruments, including batching plant, and maintenance of records Construction Quality Control: Stage/Final inspection of construction activities & finished structures as per approved Field Quality Plans and drawings in coordination with Customer/PMC for clearance Experience in Structural concrete, piling work, and Finishing works such as Flooring, False ceiling, Facade work, waterproofing, Landscaping, etc Hands-on experience with various higher-grade concrete mix designs, including HPC, SCC, Temperature control concrete, etc Construction knowledge of Chimneys/NDCT/IDCT/TG Decks/ID Fans/ESP/CHP/AHP/BF/Stoves Coordinating in carrying out NDT activities such as Rebound hammer test, UPV Test, Pile integrity Test, etc Non-Conformity Management: Identifying Non-conformities and Coordination with Customer/PMC for resolution Ensuring a First-time right approach to minimize rework costs Maintaining accurate records of non-conformities and their resolutions Quality Training: Imparting Quality induction training and Quality Toolbox talks to the workforce at the project site Promoting a First-time right approach and minimizing rework cost through effective training and communication Ensuring all team members are aware of and adhere to quality standards and procedures Technical Expertise and Compliance: Sound knowledge of various codes such as Indian standards, BS, ASTM, MoRTH, IRC, etc Awareness of quality systems of ISO 9000, including internal and external audits Applying technical expertise to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications - Maintaining applicable Quality records Key Stakeholders - Internal: Project Teams Techno-commercial team Contracts and Commercial team Safety team Key Stakeholders - External: - Client - Regulatory Bodies - Contractors - Suppliers

Qualifications and Experience

Education Qualification: Essential: B.E./B.Tech (Civil) Work Experience (Range of years): 5+ years of relevant experience Recommended Certifications: - Six Sigma Certification - Lean construction methodology - QC Tools - Lead / Internal ISO 9001:2015
