Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

In addition, you will:

Develop and maintain Inventory management procedures
Stocking levels (Min-Max)
Transactional process support
Parts Receiving, Storage & Shipping
Inventory accuracy (Cycle count)
Coordinate with Maintenance operations & Quality team on warranty claim settlement
Ensuring timely parts availability and issuance to service shop for Locomotive maintenance
Ensure to meet ship to request OTD for payable spares
Functionally own the relevant IT systems to be implemented to support the Planning / Ordering, inventory & warehousing processes
Ensure processes contribute to a safe work environment.
Managing & disposition of non-confirming materials and scraps
Managing parts repair with supplier under warranty or on paid basis (onsite and offsite)
Coordinating logistics movement for parts
Managing Feeder Warehouse operations
Lean manufacturing / materials initiatives and support
Process adherence and maintain Quality management system
Positive relationships with supplier and customer
Appropriate resource allocation
Drive materials matrices with Safety & Compliance Culture

Qualifications / Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Production/Operations Engineering
Minimum 4-6 years in Railway or Heavy Fabrication industry. Total 12+ Years experience.
Strong background in the interpretation of engineering drawings / specifications & manufacturing processes.
Knowledge on inventory planning & warehouse management processes
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with diverse team members.
Having working experience of ERPs

Ability & willingness to travel
