Position:

Role Overview

The Site HR Manager is responsible for managing all HR activities at the project/site. The role includes manpower management, compliance, employee relations, payroll coordination, attendance monitoring, and supporting smooth site operations. Acts as the primary HR point of contact for site employees.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Coordinate manpower requirements from site in-charge and project managers.
  • Handle end-to-end recruitment for site-level roles (workers, staff, supervisors).
  • Conduct joining formalities, documentation, and onboarding.

2. Attendance & Payroll Administration

  • Manage biometric attendance and maintain daily/weekly/monthly attendance reports.
  • Validate timesheets, OT calculations, and submit payroll inputs to HO.
  • Ensure accurate wage payments for labor and staff.

3. Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with labour laws: ESI, PF, Minimum Wages, CLRA, Bonus, Gratuity, Shops & Establishments Act.
  • Maintain all statutory registers and contractor compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate with government officials during inspections.

4. Employee Engagement & Relations

  • Serve as first point of contact for grievances at the site.
  • Maintain discipline, resolve conflicts, and support healthy employee relations.
  • Conduct awareness sessions on HR policies and safety.

5. Contractor & Labour Management

  • Verify contractor bills and manpower deployment.
  • Ensure proper ID cards, PPE issuance, onboarding compliance for contract labor.
  • Monitor workforce movement and maintain labour strength reports.

6. Training & Development

  • Identify training needs for site employees.
  • Coordinate safety training, skill development and toolbox talks.

7. MIS & Reporting

  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly HR reports for management.
  • Maintain employee master database and proper documentation.

8. General Administration

  • Support in site administration activities like accommodation, canteen, and transport (if applicable).
  • Ensure smooth HR operations supporting site productivity.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or MBA in HR.
  • 5+ years of experience in site HR (construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, or project sites preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws and compliance management.
  • Good communication skills (local language advantage).
  • Ability to work independently in remote site locations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems.
