Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and creative Interior Design Engineer to join our team for commercial office interior projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in interior design engineering with strong proficiency in CAD software and a solid understanding of materials, space planning, and ergonomics in workspaces. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with architects, project managers, and clients to understand design requirements and project scope. Develop detailed CAD drawings, layouts, and 3D visualizations for office interiors. Prepare and review technical drawings for execution teams, including furniture layouts, electrical and lighting plans, and false ceiling designs. Ensure design compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and ergonomics standards. Assist in selecting appropriate materials, finishes, and furniture based on budget and functional requirements. Participate in site visits to monitor progress, ensure design implementation, and resolve on-site issues. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and consultants during execution phase. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in office/commercial interior design. Strong command of AutoCAD and other design software such as SketchUp, Revit, or 3ds Max is preferred. Understanding of MEP coordination in office interiors. Ability to prepare BOQs, material specifications, and working drawings. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail with the ability to work under tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working on turnkey or design-build office interior projects. Familiarity with sustainable design practices and green building materials. Knowledge of modern office trends and workspace optimization.
