Site Engineer - Interior Fit out

Role Objective

To co-ordinate and supervise the technical aspects of construction projects for the effective implementation of planned design and provide support on-site to make sure that work progresses on time and confirm adherence to all applicable laws and guidelines.

Functional Responsibilities

• Proactively engage in the execution of assigned project.
• Monitor project execution at site to ensure that the project is executed as per the approved drawings within specified cost, quality, budget and time parameters.
• Oversee overall project execution so as to ensure completion of project within timelines and adherence to applicable statutes and guidelines.
• Review work schedule of staffs to make changes as necessary and provide administration support (attendance/duty allocation) in the assigned project.
• Provide technical advice and suggestions for improvement on particular projects.
• Ensure men, material and machine availability at all times in assigned projects.
• Ensure proper security measures for store and site.
• Provide proper guidance to all technical staffs for the smooth functioning of project work.
• Prepare MIS and provide project progress reports to relevant stakeholders accurately and within the specified times.

Coordination

• Supervise all contractors work and ensure that quality is maintained as per the company guidelines.
• Liaison with relevant government/external parties as required.
• Give first level approval for all minor expenses and obtain necessary approvals of all major expenses of assigned project in consultation with the superior.

Purchase

• Assist Procurement department in forecasting material requirements
• Effectively involve in Inventory Management and manage local purchase in consultation with the Procurement department.
• Supervise site purchase ordering in consultation with Store keeper and Procurement team.
• Compare received materials with the requisition order and report to superior and Procurement department on dead stock, short/excess stock or quality issues, if any.
• Prepare long term and short-term material requirement indents based on project schedule, stock and lead time for procurement in consultation with the superiors.
• Ensure optimum material usage and leverage on opportunities to reduce material costs.
