Site Engineer (Civil)

We are seeking an experienced Civil Site Engineer with a strong background in bituminous road construction, government project execution, billing, and liaisoning with departments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing site activities, ensuring quality and timely completion of road projects, and coordinating with government authorities for project approvals and billing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage bituminous road construction and maintenance works as per project specifications and IRC/MORTH standards.

Oversee day-to-day site activities, manpower allocation, and equipment utilization to ensure smooth progress.

Conduct quality checks on materials such as aggregates, bitumen, and mix design to maintain quality standards.

Prepare and verify measurement sheets, quantity calculations, and contractor/client billing (RA bills).

Ensure proper documentation for all site activities, test reports, and project progress.

Coordinate and liaise with government departments, consultants, and clients for inspections, approvals, and certifications.

Monitor project schedules and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.

Handle surveying and leveling work, ensuring proper alignment and compaction during road construction.

Maintain safety and environmental standards at the site.

Report daily progress, resource utilization, and issues to the Project Manager/Head Office.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

Minimum 5 years of experience in road construction (bituminous work) and government projects.

Strong knowledge of MORTH / IRC specifications, road layering procedures, and pavement quality control.

Experience in site supervision, billing, quantity surveying, and liaisoning with government departments.

Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and Quantity Estimation.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities under pressure.

Preferred Experience:

Prior work with PWD/NHAI/PMGSY or other government infrastructure projects.

Hands-on experience with hot mix plants, paver machines, and bituminous compaction processes.
