Full job description

Able to lead and manage large-scale civil engineering projects, encompassing planning, design, and construction from conception to completion. Key responsibilities include conducting site assessments, developing detailed designs and cost estimates, overseeing project budgets and schedules, and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. Also mentor and guide junior staff, collaborate with various stakeholders like architects and contractors, and present project progress and updates to clients and senior management. Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Manages the entire project lifecycle, from concept and feasibility studies to final design, construction, and completion.
  • Design & Planning: Designs and recommends improvements to infrastructure projects, prepares detailed drawings, plans, and specifications, and conducts site surveys and feasibility studies.
  • Budgeting & Scheduling: Develops detailed cost estimates, project budgets, and schedules, then monitors progress to ensure completion within time and budget constraints.
  • Team & Stakeholder Management: Leads and supervises engineering teams, including junior engineers and technicians, and collaborates with architects, contractors, and clients to ensure project alignment.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensures that all projects adhere to industry codes, safety standards, and government regulations, conducting site inspections and reviewing designs for compliance.
  • Problem Solving: Provides technical expertise and resolves complex engineering and construction-related issues that arise during project execution.
  • Reporting: Prepares and presents project progress updates, technical reports, and documentation to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Mentorship: Trains, guides, and mentors junior engineers and technical staff, fostering their professional development.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.

  • Experience: 5-7 Years in civil engineering, with proven experience in managing large-scale projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D) and project management software is crucial.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, team management, communication (both oral and written), and interpersonal skills are essential for collaboration and stakeholder interaction.
