Description
The Continuous Improvement Lead is responsible for identifying, implementing, and sustaining initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and boost productivity in the manufacturing process. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze workflows, lead improvement projects, and promote a culture of continuous enhancement within the organization. Developing and executing a Continuous Improvement strategy aligned with organizational objectives is a key duty. The Lead will identify opportunities for enhancing manufacturing processes, such as production flow, quality, and cost reduction, and will utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to drive operational excellence. Additionally, overseeing Value Stream Mapping and facilitating root cause analyses to resolve inefficiencies are crucial aspects of the role. The Continuous Improvement Lead will plan, execute, and manage improvement projects, track outcomes against key performance indicators, and provide insights and recommendations to leadership. They will also be responsible for training and mentoring employees on CI methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and collaborating with various teams to ensure alignment on improvement initiatives. Candidates for this role should possess a strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other CI tools, along with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel and Minitab is preferred, and effective communication skills are essential to influence colleagues and drive change across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field, with advanced degrees or certifications like Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or MBA being advantageous. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in process improvement, is required, along with a proven track record of implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and leading cross-functional teams. Exposure to the Automobile Industry or ancillary industries is preferred for this position.,
