Job Overview

We are hiring for a UK based client having office in Ahmedabad and seeking a skilled Shopify Developer to maintain, improve, and customise our Shopify-based eCommerce websites, ensuring all design and functionality works flawlessly across platforms. The ideal candidate will work closely with the marketing and design teams to elevate the user experience, resolve UI/UX issues, and roll out new features aimed at enhancing performance, visual appeal, and conversion.

Shopify Theme Development & Customization – Scope of Work

• Ensure consistent styling and layout across all templates in line with brand identity
• Create custom sections on product pages (e.g., user manual upload, feature highlights, rich text blocks)
• Implement an enhanced search bar experience similar to Amazon (auto-suggest, category filter)
• Ensure full mobile responsiveness across homepage, product, collection, and cart pages
• Create unique, brand-aligned templates for homepage, product, collection, cart, and blog pages
• Ensure seamless integration of third-party Shopify apps (e.g., reviews, search, rewards)
• Minify CSS and JS files for faster loading and reduced render-blocking
• Ensure consistent styling and layout across all templates in line with brand identity
• Add or remove UI elements such as signup popups, sticky headers, Trustpilot logos, and promotional banners
• Remove unnecessary backend code and legacy scripts to improve performance
• Add custom text beside prices (e.g., “Ex. VAT”, promotional badges, unit info, etc.)
• Ensure full mobile responsiveness across homepage, product, collection, and cart pages
• Optimize page loading speed to achieve maximum 2–3 seconds load time
• Remove unused scripts and external app bloat from the theme
• Customise third-party app widgets (e.g., review sections, reward popups) to match theme styling
• Add custom code enhancements to app blocks (e.g., icons, styling, layout interactions)
• Use Shopify theme settings to allow backend control of banners, images, and blocks
• Optimise image alt text to ensure it fetches and renders properly for SEO
• Ensure proper use and hierarchy of heading tags (H1, H2, H3) throughout the site
• Implement structured data (schema markup) for products, blogs, breadcrumbs, and FAQs
• Ensure breadcrumbs are implemented and styled properly for both UX and SEO
• Add lazy loading for images and sections to improve performance on slower connections
• Validate font rendering consistency across browsers and devices

Requirements

• Have to work on Shopify store/app with the use of JS
• Will responsible for match deadline of the given task
• Must have experience to work with any ecommerce platform.
• Experience in customizing the modules
• Should have Experience in Payment Gateway Integration
• Knowledge about Servers, API Integration is must

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
