Shift Manager - Operations

Purpose/Objective

The Shift Manager Operations will oversee and manage the operational activities of AdaniConnex's state-of-the-art data center facilities in Noida. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless 24/7 operations, aligning with AdaniConnex's mission to deliver global benchmarks in data center design, engineering, and operations. The role supports the business unit’s strategic goal of building a 1GW data center infrastructure platform by 2030, emphasizing operational excellence, safety, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Key Responsibilities - Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the data center during assigned shifts, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery and operational efficiency. - Monitor and maintain critical infrastructure systems, including power, cooling, and network connectivity, to meet uptime and performance standards. - Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement operational protocols and resolve technical issues promptly. - Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices in data center operations. - Conduct routine inspections and audits of the facility to identify and mitigate potential risks or inefficiencies. - Lead incident management and escalation processes, ensuring timely resolution and communication with stakeholders. - Collaborate with the engineering and maintenance teams to plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities. - Utilize digital tools and platforms for real-time monitoring, analytics, and reporting of operational metrics. - Train and mentor shift personnel to enhance their technical skills and operational knowledge. - Support the Head of Operations in implementing strategic initiatives and achieving operational KPIs.

Technical Competencies

Qualifications and Experience

Required Qualifications & Experience - 5-10 years of experience in data center operations or related fields, with a proven track record of managing shift-based teams. - Hands-on experience with critical infrastructure systems such as UPS, HVAC, and fire suppression systems. - Familiarity with data center management platforms and monitoring tools. Educational Background - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. - Certifications in data center operations (e.g., CDCP, CDCS) are preferred.
