Job Title: Shift Incharge – Edible Oil Refinery
Location: KandlaExperience: 4 to 8 years in edible oil refinery operationsQualification: B.Tech or Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Oil Technology / MechanicalSalary: As per industry norms

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all shift operations of edible oil refining including degumming, bleaching, deodorization and fractionation
• Monitor refining parameters, quality, consumption, utilities and production efficiency during the shift
• Coordinate with QC for FFA, moisture, color index, phosphatides and other edible oil quality parameters
• Ensure proper handling, storage and transfer of crude and refined edible oil in tank farm
• Maintain shift logbook including production reports, QC readings, consumption and manpower allocation
• Supervise operators, filter press manpower and contractual workers
• Monitor and control neutralization, bleaching earth dosing, deodorizer vacuum, steam flow and temperature ranges
• Coordinate with maintenance for breakdown, preventive maintenance and permit-to-work approvals
• Maintain hygiene, GMP and food safety compliance as per FSSAI norms
• Follow FSMS, HACCP, ISO and refinery safety guidelines
• Ensure correct sampling, testing and blending of finished oil
• Conduct shift handover reporting with accurate process details
• Follow dispatch schedule and ensure readiness of product for loading

Skills Required

• Hands-on knowledge of edible oil refining processes
• Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP, FSSAI, ISO 22000 and food handling norms
• Familiarity with tank farm operations, storage and transfer
• Ability to handle vacuum systems, steam systems, boilers and utilities
• Shift supervision and manpower management capability
• SAP or ERP knowledge preferred
• Strong troubleshooting skills in process deviations
