As an operator responsible for the daily operation and monitoring of STP/ETP/UF/RO equipment, your key duties will include operating various equipment such as pumps, blowers, aeration tanks, clarifiers, and filters. You will be required to monitor inlet and outlet parameters including BOD, COD, pH, TSS, TDS, and flow rate. Additionally, you will ensure the proper dosing of chemicals such as coagulants, flocculants, and pH adjusters while maintaining detailed logbooks for flow, parameters, chemical consumption, and equipment running hours. You will also play a crucial role in providing routine maintenance support by performing basic preventive maintenance tasks like cleaning screens, checking oil levels, and greasing equipment. Identifying equipment malfunctions and promptly informing the maintenance team, as well as ensuring timely backwashing of filters, will be part of your responsibilities. Maintaining regulatory compliance is another important aspect of your role, where you will need to ensure that treated effluent meets local pollution control board norms. Coordinating sampling and analysis for statutory reporting purposes will also fall under your purview.
