Job Description

Title:

ServiceNow Engineer

Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled

ServiceNow Engineer / Developer

with strong expertise in

Now Assist

App Engine workflow automation

, and

ServiceNow platform development

. The ideal candidate will design, build, integrate, and support scalable ServiceNow solutions while continuously learning new technologies as required by the project.

Must-Have Skills

ServiceNow Development

Design, develop, and maintain custom ServiceNow applications and modules including:

ITSM, CSM, ITOM, SecOps

App Engine (custom applications)

Experience in development using

templates

and

Generative / Agentic AI

Mandatory experience with

ServiceNow Now Assist

and

App Engine flow development

Platform Configuration

Configure and manage ServiceNow modules:

ITSM, CSM, ITOM, SecOps, App Engine

Configure workflows, UI Policies, Business Rules, UI Actions, and other platform components

Scripting & Automation

Strong scripting skills using:

JavaScript (client-side and server-side)

Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Scripts

Experience with

OpenAI integrations

to automate processes

Integrations

Integrate ServiceNow with:

LDAP, Active Directory

Third-party applications

REST, SOAP, and other web service APIs

ITSM data sources and OpenAI integrations

Support & Maintenance

Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform

Ensure continuous service availability and stability

Security & Performance

Implement best practices for performance optimization and security

Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and standards

Upgrades & Patching

Assist with ServiceNow upgrades and patching

Ensure smooth deployments with minimal downtime

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

Develop and maintain technical documentation for:

Custom applications

Workflows and integrations

Provide knowledge transfer to team members

Willingness to explore and quickly learn new technologies as required by the project

Good-to-Have Skills

Proficiency in

JavaScript, HTML, CSS

, and web technologies

Experience with:

ServiceNow Studio and App Engine development tools

Building and automating custom applications using App Engine

Knowledge of:

ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and CMDB

ServiceNow Performance Analytics, reports, and dashboards

Strong understanding of:

ServiceNow administration and platform setup

ITIL processes and their implementation in ServiceNow

Update Sets and version control management

Responsibilities

Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver them effectively

Demonstrate strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Work independently while managing multiple tasks and priorities

Maintain high attention to detail and quality of deliverables

Mentor and guide junior consultants or developers when required

Prerequisites

Qualification:

B.Tech (CS/IT) or MCA

Experience:

4-6 years of relevant ServiceNow experience in the IT software industry
