Servicenow Developer

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of key ServiceNow modules including ITSM, Service Portal, CSM, HRSD, SecOps, GRC/IRM, and other platform components.
  
• Build advanced solutions leveraging Analytics & Intelligence, Virtual Agent, NLU/NLI, Agent Workspace, Service Catalog, Predictive Intelligence, and Service Portal capabilities.
  
• Manage and enhance core Now Platform features such as Contextual Search, Data Management, Encryption & Key Management, Forms/Lists, Dictionary, AWA, CSDM, and User/Group Administration.
  
• Develop integrations and custom applications using App Engine, Studio, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, MID Server, Remote Tables, Web Services (REST/SOAP), Import Sets, ATF, Orchestration, and automation best practices.
  
• Provide expertise in IT Asset Management (Hardware/Software lifecycle), Configuration Management, and CSDM alignment.
  
• Work with data models, SQL queries, and integrate on-prem/cloud applications with ServiceNow.
  
• Collaborate with implementation partners, product owners, and platform teams to design scalable enterprise solutions.
  
• Create and maintain platform roadmaps, assist in solution architecture, and support detailed design and implementation plans.
  
• Support Agile processes: story writing, backlog grooming, estimation, sprint planning, forecasting, and progress reporting.
  
• Provide coaching to development, design, and product teams on Agile values, principles, and best practices.
  
• Ensure solutions balance business needs, technical constraints, and long-term platform strategy.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
  

Essential Skills

• 8+ years of experience implementing and managing the ServiceNow platform.
  
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience with GRC/IRM modules.
  
• 3+ years as a ServiceNow Application Developer & Implementation Specialist.
  
• Strong understanding of ITIL service lifecycle and ITSM best practices.
  
• Solid knowledge of enterprise/web architecture (SSO, SAML, OAuth, TLS, REST/SOAP).
  
• Experience with data imports, Transform Maps, scripted REST APIs, and external system integrations.
  
• Proficient in ATF and automation frameworks.
  
• Expert-level scripting skills (JavaScript, HTML, XML, AJAX, CSS).
  
• Experience managing platform governance, operations, processes, and continuous improvements.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong business-oriented solutioning.
  
• In-depth knowledge of SDLC, including requirements, QA, design, version control, deployment, and issue resolution.
  
• Experience working in Agile (Scrum/SAFe) with User Story writing and refinement.
