Job Description

As an experienced professional in the field of Hydrographic Survey, your role will involve conducting pre- and post-mobilization checks, on-site installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment. You will provide engineering services and technical support for client/Unique owned equipment, coordinate with OEMs, manage spare parts, provide remote technical support to clients, and ensure all equipment is operational and ready for deployment. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and prepare for upcoming site visits and field operations, including the Onsite/Offshore Job Execution of the Survey department. - Undertake the Mobilization and Demobilization of all equipment. - Compile detailed service reports following site visits and service activities. - Follow up on services to ensure all client requirements and standards are met. - Ensure accuracy of survey & marine inventories data in the system. - Update data in the system related to DN/GRN and documentation as required. - Undertake site visits for inspection, installation, commissioning, and service support of hydrographic and geophysical equipment. - Manage field operations, providing technical support and troubleshooting on-site issues as they arise. - Offer on-site technical support, addressing any issues promptly and effectively. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems with hydrographic and geophysical equipment during field operations. - Upgradation and calibration of survey equipment. - Maintain and audit physical stock of the workshop. - Oversee the testing, maintenance, and installation of survey equipment, ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly and safely. - Repair & maintenance of survey equipment at the workshop. - Coordinate and assist Sales and Logistics Division in equipment movement. - Plan and manage the logistics of equipment deployment and retrieval for field operations. - Draft and submit comprehensive reports to superiors and other key individuals, detailing site activities, technical issues, and project progress. - Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure transparency and collaboration. - Coordinate and provide technical support to the sales team. - Prepare & submit necessary reports in a timely manner. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelors degree in engineering (preferably Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation & Communication, or Civil with experience in Hydrographic Survey). - Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Knowledge of survey equipment and related software preferred. - Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience.
