Qualification:

- B.E. / M.E. / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

 

Experience:-

5+ years of relevant experience in the Maritime industry
 

Reports To:

- Team Lead - Propulsion

 

Job Overview:

  • As a Field Service Engineer in the Global Customer Support division, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning and service of propulsion systems. The system includes main propellers, azimuth units, tunnel thrusters and gearboxes.
  • You will ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient service delivery to customers worldwide, working both independently and in collaboration with senior engineers.
  • This role demands strong technical expertise, a customer-focused mindset, and flexibility to travel extensively based on project needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • B.E. / M.E. / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in the Maritime industry with a proven track record.
  • Hands-on experience with propulsion systems, thrusters, steering gear, and gearboxes.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of products, systems, their functionality, and applications.
  • Control system knowledge will be added advantage.
  • Experience with the companys products will be preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand requirements and explain technical issues.
  • Carry out installation, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and servicing of propulsion systems.
  • Execute tasks in compliance with defined procedures and checklists.
  • Perform quality checks in coordination with Senior/Lead Engineers or Group Managers.
  • Provide online/remote technical support to customers and backend assistance to service teams as needed.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships while upholding the companys values.
  • Develop product knowledge through self-study and training to achieve certified engineer status.
  • Timely completion of service related documentation.
  • Ensure safety compliance on-site, following all policies and reporting any concerns.
  • Represent the company professionally in both appearance and conduct.

Travel

  • Extensive travel whenever required.
  • Prepared to travel on short notice.
  • To possess valid travel document.
  • Willingness to travel to any part of the world wherever company feels safe to travel
