Job Description

As an Ophthalmic and Medical Equipment Technician, your role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing ophthalmic and other medical equipment at hospitals, clinics, and partner locations. Your primary goal is to ensure high customer satisfaction through prompt and professional service. Key Responsibilities: - Install ophthalmic diagnostic and surgical equipment at customer sites, including slit lamps, phaco machines, microscopes, and refraction units - Provide equipment demonstrations as needed - Perform routine preventive maintenance, servicing, and on-site repairs of medical equipment according to company guidelines and regulatory standards - Diagnose technical issues and implement solutions quickly to minimize equipment downtime - Provide on-call and in-person technical support to clients, handle complaints, and service requests efficiently - Maintain detailed service logs, warranty records, and installation reports - Ensure accurate data entry in the CRM or service system - Train medical staff and end users on proper equipment usage and basic troubleshooting techniques - Collaborate with the sales team, R&D, and logistics teams to ensure smooth product delivery, feedback sharing, and service execution Key Skills & Competencies: - Customer Support - Documentation & Reporting - Training & Demonstrations - Coordination - Sound understanding of electro-mechanical systems, optics, and medical electronics - Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and testing equipment - Excellent problem-solving and time management skills - Strong interpersonal and communication abilities - Willingness to travel frequently (domestic/international as required) Educational Qualifications: - Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related technical field Experience: - 03 years of relevant experience in servicing medical or ophthalmic equipment (Freshers with strong technical knowledge may be considered) Preferred Certifications: - Training on ISO standards or specific OEM certifications (optional but preferred) - Basic knowledge of regulatory standards (CE, CDSCO, etc.) In this role, you will enjoy benefits such as paid sick time, paid time off, and work in a morning shift at the designated in-person work location.,
