Job Description

BT PRINT

Installation & Commissioning

  • Install and commission new industrial inkjet printing equipment at customer locations
  • Configure printers according to customer specifications and production requirements
  • Conduct equipment testing and quality checks post-installation
  • Train customers on basic operation and maintenance procedures
  • Document installation details and customer handover

Maintenance & Support

  • Perform preventive maintenance on industrial inkjet printers as per schedule
  • Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to prevent equipment failures
  • Respond to service calls and troubleshoot technical issues promptly
  • Maintain service logs and equipment history records
  • Recommend upgrades or replacement parts when necessary

Repair & Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues in printing equipment
  • Repair or replace faulty components including printheads, pumps, sensors, and controllers
  • Perform firmware updates and software troubleshooting
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring problems
  • Ensure minimal downtime through efficient repair processes

Customer Relations

  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers
  • Maintain professional communication with clients at all times
  • Address customer concerns and escalate issues when required
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Gather customer feedback for service improvement

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed service reports for all customer visits
  • Update job cards and service tickets in the system
  • Track spare parts inventory and usage
  • Submit daily/weekly activity reports to GM Operations
  • Maintain equipment manuals and technical documentation

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated with latest printing technologies and industry trends
  • Participate in training programs and skill development sessions
  • Suggest improvements to service processes and procedures
  • Share knowledge with team members
  • Contribute to team goals and objectives

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • ITI with relevant experience will also be considered

Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in servicing industrial equipment (printing equipment preferred)
  • Experience with inkjet printers, batch coding equipment, or packaging machinery is a strong advantage
  • Prior field service experience required

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems
  • Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting and repair
  • Basic knowledge of PLCs and control systems
  • Computer literacy (MS Office, email, service software)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
  • Familiarity with industrial printing processes is preferred

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Good communication skills in English and Hindi (regional languages are a plus)
  • Willingness to travel extensively (60-80% travel)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Travel:

    Extensive travel required within assigned region/territory
  • Work Environment:

    Customer factory floors, production facilities, and outdoor sites
  • Physical Requirements:

    Ability to work in standing position for extended periods
  • Work Hours:

    Flexible hours based on customer requirements; may include weekends and holidays
  • Safety:

    Must follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
