Technicians at Server Ops Function

Preferred Minimum Required Education: Intermediate Vocational Education in maintenance, hardware repair or equivalent.

Minimum Required Experience: years of experience in a similar role.

Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English and local country language.

Experience in Lean Principles.

Role -

Perform physical and technical tasks of low complexity on Data Center Infrastructure equipment including but not limited to servers infrastructure, network infrastructure, or other equipment on the DC floor, without immediate supervision.

Work alongside Technicians in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining servers, networking equipment, and cabling (can be physically demanding including moving and racking equipment).

Fix broken servers (replace hard drives, replace bad sticks of RAM, etc.).

Learn and apply diagnostic methods to troubleshoot data center equipment.

Use hardware/software tools and workflows (automation) in support of these tasks.

Strictly follow all policies, processes, and procedures related to the activities and data center environment.

Perform maintenance on a timely basis with adequate recordkeeping.

Maintain supply of spare parts inventory. Ensure equipment is started up properly at the beginning of the shift.

Maintain equipment in running order with minimal downtime.

Locate sources of problems by observing and listening to mechanical devices in operation.

Diagnose and make repairs as needed.

Maintain documentation of performance of preventive maintenance, equipment repair, part usages and other documentation.

Ensure a safe working environment and perform maintenance in a safe manner.
