Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

On-Page SEO

• Assist in keyword research and mapping to target pages.
• Optimise website content, meta titles, meta descriptions, headings, and internal linking.
• Conduct regular SEO audits to identify and fix on-page issues (broken links, duplicate content, image optimisation, etc.).

Off-Page SEO & Link Building

• Support outreach campaigns to build high-quality backlinks.
• Assist in researching and identifying relevant link-building opportunities.
• Monitor backlink profiles and disavow harmful links.

Technical SEO

• Assist in auditing website performance using tools like Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, and SEMrush/Ahrefs.
• Identify and report technical issues such as crawl errors, site speed issues, and mobile usability problems.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure SEO best practices are implemented.

Content Support

• Work closely with the content team to ensure SEO best practices are incorporated into blog posts, landing pages, and other site content.
• Assist in creating SEO briefs for content writers.
• Monitor keyword rankings and recommend adjustments to content strategies.

Analytics & Reporting

• Track keyword rankings, traffic performance, and SEO KPIs.
• Prepare monthly SEO performance reports.
• Analyse data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.

Preferred candidate profile

Essential:

• Basic understanding of SEO principles, search engine algorithms, and ranking factors.
• Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, or CMS platforms like WordPress (preferred).

Preferred:

• 612 months’ experience in an SEO or digital marketing role (internship experience acceptable).
• Knowledge of keyword research techniques.
• Understanding of content marketing and its role in SEO.
