ABOUT JEVIKA & JOY

Jevika & Joy is not just a kids’ brand — it’s a growing original Indian IP built on storytelling, morals, fun, and emotion. From animated characters and reels to podcasts, events, and digital shows, we create content that kids love and parents trust.

We’re looking for a Senior Video Editor who doesn’t just edit videos — but understands stories, emotions, pacing, and audience psychology, especially for kids & family content.

YOUR ROLE

As a Senior Video Editor, you’ll be the backbone of our visual storytelling. You’ll own edits end-to-end and help elevate the overall content quality across platforms.

You will:

• Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube videos, Shorts, trailers, promos, podcasts, and ads
• Bring emotion, humour, suspense, and rhythm into edits
• Maintain brand consistency across all Jevika & Joy content
• Work closely with founders, writers, designers, and motion artists
• Guide junior editors and help improve team workflows
• Optimize videos for engagement, retention, and platform algorithms

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• High-quality video editing with strong story flow & pacing
• Add sound design, music, transitions, text, and effects tastefully
• Edit kids-friendly content (clean, fun, expressive, safe)
• Create platform-specific edits (IG, YouTube, Ads)
• Manage multiple projects with tight timelines
• Ensure timely delivery without compromising quality
• Suggest creative improvements proactively

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Strong command over Premiere Pro
• Good understanding of After Effects (basic motion, text, transitions)
• Excellent sense of timing, beats, and storytelling
• Experience with short-form + long-form content
• Familiarity with social media trends & formats
• Ability to take feedback positively and iterate fast
• Strong attention to detail

BONUS (GOOD TO HAVE)

• Experience editing kids / family / animation content
• Knowledge of AI video tools or motion workflows
• Understanding of YouTube retention & Instagram hook strategy
• Leadership or mentoring experience
