Senior Trademark Lawyer

Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified Trademark Lawyer to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in trademark prosecution, opposition, litigation support, and IP advisory. You will play a key role in managing client portfolios, conducting searches, drafting legal documents, and representing clients before the Trade Marks Registry and IPAB (if applicable).

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct trademark searches and prepare availability reports
• File and manage trademark applications, oppositions, renewals, and cancellations
• Draft and respond to examination reports, oppositions, and legal notices
• Handle IP due diligence, licensing, and brand protection strategies
• Represent clients before the Trade Marks Registry and relevant authorities
• Coordinate with clients, internal teams, and external counsels
• Keep up to date with developments in IP law and industry practices

Requirements

• LL.B. or equivalent law degree from a recognized university
• Enrolled with a State Bar Council in India
• Minimum 2 years of experience practicing trademark law
• Strong understanding of Indian IP law and procedures
• Excellent drafting, communication, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently and meet deadlines
• Experience with IP portfolio management tools is a plus
