We are looking for an experienced Indirect Tax Analyst for our Indirect Tax team. This position will be primarily based from our office in Bangalore, India. Job Description

• Manage various indirect tax aspects of our global businesses with a focus on APAC

• Deliver timely and accurate indirect tax advice to business units

• Advise on intercompany relationships and transactions

• Manage the indirect tax aspects of new APAC regulations and new country expansions

• Support VAT audits

• Collaborate and coordinate with various business resources, other tax functions, and external tax advisers

• Liaise with finance / shared services in support of issues identified during indirect tax compliance process

• Liaise with finance and accounting for tax reserve planning and management

• Manage and participate in development of software solutions for indirect tax automation

• Implement, review and optimize SAP processes dealing with indirect taxes and reporting

• Assist with developing training material to be deployed to key functions within the business

• Coordinate with third party advisors, as required, who may assist in managing all or some of the above

Job Requirements

• 
  Experience with indirect tax compliance and audits in APAC

• Knowledge of GST & VAT in APAC

• Familiarity with the indirect taxation trends of the digital economy

• Knowledge of e-invoicing and e-reporting in APAC

• Familiarity and experience with global VAT systems desired

• Experience with indirect taxes pertaining to financial services desired

• Up-to-date on current VAT practices and technical issues

• Strong project management and organization skills

• Capable of working independently while acting as part of a global tax team

• Capable of leading tax projects with cross-functional dependencies

• Working experience in multinational environments

• Confidence, poise, and diplomacy when interacting with all levels of management, external consultants, and tax authorities

• Ability to articulate complex concepts in a concise manner in both written and verbal presentations

• Demonstrated passion and track record of delivering results in a rapidly changing business environment

• Strong customer focus; good listening and problem resolution skills

• A great sense of accuracy

• Strong issue identification and mitigation skills

Basic Qualifications

• Currently holds a similar position or is an Indirect Tax Senior Consultant/Manager at an accounting firm

• 4-8 years of post qualification indirect tax experience

• Fluent in English - other languages helpful

• Chartered accountant or equivalent experience with an emphasis in Tax, Legal, or Accounting; advanced degree is helpful.
