Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Team Lead/Senior Team Lead level

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers in on-prem and cloud environments.
Lead OS upgrades, patching automation, and configuration standardization using tools such as
Ansible, SCCM/Intune, WSUS, PowerShell, and Bash
.
Implement security hardening measures, access controls, and audit policies to ensure compliance.
Perform performance tuning across CPU, memory, storage, and network resources.
Oversee backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes to meet
RTO/RPO objectives
.
Handle user administration, file systems, virtualization hosts, and clustering.
Troubleshoot complex OS issues, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventive measures.
Automate routine administrative tasks and maintain clear, detailed documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including cloud, network, and security.
Provide leadership and guidance to junior team members, ensuring best practices and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

12 - 15 years of experience in system administration, including leadership responsibilities.
Proven experience as a
System Administrator
or similar role.
Strong knowledge of
Windows Server
and
Linux distributions
.
Hands-on experience with automation and configuration tools (
Ansible, SCCM/Intune, WSUS
).
Proficiency in scripting languages (
PowerShell, Bash
).
Solid understanding of
security best practices
, access control, and compliance standards.
Experience with
virtualization technologies
(VMware, Hyper-V) and clustering.
Familiarity with
backup and disaster recovery strategies
.
Strong troubleshooting and RCA skills.
Excellent documentation and communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with
cloud platforms
(Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Knowledge of
containerization
(Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Relevant certifications (e.g.,
Microsoft Certified: Windows Server
,
Linux+, RHCSA
,
Azure Administrator
) are desirable.
