Description - External Senior SQL Developer / DBA Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Developer / DBA to join us. This role requires deep expertise in complex SQL development, query optimization, and database performance tuning. You will play a key role in managing and enhancing our data infrastructure, working with modern database technologies and cloud platforms. Key Responsibilities: 4-8 years experience on design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries and other database components. 3+ years experience on perform database performance tuning and optimization to ensure high availability and efficiency. Design and develop data pipelines using tools like Apache Airflow for efficient ETL processing. Work on database infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SingleStore. Collaborate with application developers to optimize SQL queries and ensure data integrity. Implement monitoring tools, automation scripts, and database security best practices. Manage large-scale data storage solutions and support data-intensive applications. Work with big data technologies such as Snowflake, Kafka, Cassandra, and Spark. Deploy and manage databases in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure). Support 24x7 production environments in a rotating shift schedule. Nice to Have: Experience in Ops/DevOps engineering with a software development mindset. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools. Technology Stack: Must Have: 4-7 years of experience in DBA & SQL tuning with expertise in at least one of MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL or SingleStore. Experience in database infrastructure setup, monitoring tools, and automation. Strong analytical skills and expertise in systematic problem-solving. Proven development skills in Python, Java, or Go for backend and automation tasks. Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems. Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes. Big data experience is a plus, with exposure to Snowflake, Kafka, Cassandra, or Spark. Cloud expertise in databases, compute, storage, and networking (AWS preferred: EC2, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Kubernetes). Strong teamwork and communication skills.
