Description - External Senior SQL Developer / DBA Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Developer / DBA to join us. This role requires deep expertise in complex SQL development, query optimization, and database performance tuning. You will play a key role in managing and enhancing our data infrastructure, working with modern database technologies and cloud platforms. Key Responsibilities: 4-8 years experience on design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries and other database components. 3+ years experience on perform database performance tuning and optimization to ensure high availability and efficiency. Design and develop data pipelines using tools like Apache Airflow for efficient ETL processing. Work on database infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SingleStore. Collaborate with application developers to optimize SQL queries and ensure data integrity. Implement monitoring tools, automation scripts, and database security best practices. Manage large-scale data storage solutions and support data-intensive applications. Work with big data technologies such as Snowflake, Kafka, Cassandra, and Spark. Deploy and manage databases in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure). Support 24x7 production environments in a rotating shift schedule. Nice to Have: Experience in Ops/DevOps engineering with a software development mindset. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools. Technology Stack: Must Have: 4-7 years of experience in DBA & SQL tuning with expertise in at least one of MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL or SingleStore. Experience in database infrastructure setup, monitoring tools, and automation. Strong analytical skills and expertise in systematic problem-solving. Proven development skills in Python, Java, or Go for backend and automation tasks. Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems. Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes. Big data experience is a plus, with exposure to Snowflake, Kafka, Cassandra, or Spark. Cloud expertise in databases, compute, storage, and networking (AWS preferred: EC2, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Kubernetes). Strong teamwork and communication skills.

As an ICM developer within Global Incentive Compensations (GIC), you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and testing the systems used for compensating the Salesforce sales organization, as well as tools used by internal teams for their functions. We are seeking a talented and motivated individual with hands-on experience in Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess both strong technical skills and functional expertise to design, evaluate, and develop systems and processes that meet business user requirements and comply with IT and Finance audit guidelines. Additionally, expertise in Salesforce Data Management, including creating scenarios and seeding data, will be essential for the role. The role will involve managing and optimizing our ICM platform, including customization, configuration, and integration of processes, alongside handling data management tasks within Salesforce. The candidate should have a good understanding of Salesforce administration and be capable of designing, implementing, and maintaining ICM solutions that drive effective sales compensation strategies. Key Responsibilities: ICM (Incentive Compensation Management): Understand incentive compensation models, including commission structures, bonus programs, and sales performance metrics within Salesforce. Strong experience with compensation systems (Spiff, Everstage, Captivate IQ, Varicent, or Xactly). Develop and test processes within Xactly Connect or other ETL tools to support movement of reference and transactional data. Provide regular analysis and insights into compensation plans, recommending improvements based on system data. Manage the sales compensation workflow, ensuring timely and accurate payments. ICM implementation experience. Salesforce Data Management: Conduct data imports/exports and cleanup activities as needed. Experience in Salesforce Administration, SOQL, Apex, JavaScript (Lightning), and VisualForce is preferable. Ensure data integrity and enforce best practices for data governance in Salesforce. Collaboration and Communication: Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders about ICM performance. Stay current on best practices and emerging technologies in Salesforce administration and ICM management. Skills and Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience is required, 3 to 5 years preferred. Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent industry experience in application and software development. Understanding of database infrastructure and concepts. Experience developing customer-facing interfaces. Good communication skills. Problem-solving ability for high-level software and application issues. Familiarity with Agile (scrum) framework is preferred
