Senior Specialist, Microbiology

The Senior Specialist, Microbiology position based in Vadodara is crucial for maintaining and enhancing the quality of products, processes, and quality systems to deliver top-notch quality and services to customers. You will play a key role in supporting the implementation and execution of quality, food safety, cleaning, and sanitation management systems within DSM-F HNC Premix. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the smooth operation of Microbiology instruments for daily sample analysis, as well as managing the calibration, preventive maintenance, and performance verification of microbiology equipment. As the Senior Specialist, Microbiology, you will be responsible for maintaining the master equipment list, ensuring lab operations are in line with specifications, and managing the inventory of consumables for lab operations. Your role will also involve test method development and transfer, qualification of test methods and laboratory instruments, failure investigation, and assisting in maintaining the QMS microbiology and FSSC 22000 system. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure the smooth running of the Microbiology laboratory - Conduct RM, PM, and FG analysis as per specifications - Maintain culture - Monitor environmental conditions - Calibrate and maintain instruments and equipment - Prepare and update SOPs for microbiology standard methods - Source and recommend new test instruments - Assist in reviewing and improving Microbiology procedures - Conduct calibration and validation of Microbiology equipment - Perform risk assessments related to Microbiology - Support hygiene standards and sanitation practices - Conduct regular trainings on cleaning and sanitation standards - Participate in change management risk assessments - Stay updated on hygiene and sanitation standards - Conduct staff training on site cleaning and sanitization procedures - Monitor housekeeping and cleaning programs - Audit manufacturing and production areas for cleanliness - Seek opportunities for improved cleaning and sanitation practices - Coordinate with other units for compliance and performance - Communicate with sites globally to share best practices and ensure consistency As the Senior Specialist, Microbiology, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and sanitation within the organization.
