Objective

Senior Specialist License & IT Compliance Management

Key Responsibilities

License Management

• Maintain accurate inventory of all software and IT licenses across the organization.
• Ensure timely renewal, procurement, and optimization of licenses to avoid compliance risks or cost overruns.
• Negotiate with vendors and manage licensing agreements to achieve cost efficiency and compliance.

Compliance Oversight

• Monitor adherence to internal IT policies, procedures, and industry regulations (e.g., ISO, GDPR, SOX, etc. as relevant).
• Conduct periodic audits of IT assets, software usage, and licensing compliance.
• Develop, implement, and improve IT compliance frameworks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Risk Management

• Identify potential compliance risks and propose corrective actions.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and evidence of compliance.
• Collaborate with IT security, procurement, and legal teams to mitigate risks associated with software and IT usage.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare regular reports on compliance status, license utilization, and audit findings for management.
• Maintain updated records of all license agreements, compliance activities, and audit trails.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with IT, Legal, Finance, and Procurement teams to ensure compliance requirements are understood and met.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to internal teams on license usage and compliance best practices.

Need to Have Areas

• License Management & Compliance

  : Strong experience in managing enterprise software licenses across multiple vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Adobe, VMware). Expertise in Software Asset Management (SAM) frameworks, license audits, renewals, and compliance reporting.

• IT Compliance & Governance

  : Deep understanding of IT compliance frameworks and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, SOX, ITIL, NIST).

• Technical & Analytical Skills

  : Proficiency with license management and compliance tools (e.g., Flexera, ServiceNow SAM, Snow Software, SCCM).

• Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  : Experience in working with cross-functional teams (IT, Finance, Procurement, Legal) to ensure compliance and cost optimization
• Certifications such as

  Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)

  ,

  ITIL

  , or

  CISA/CISM

  are highly desirable.
• Exposure to cloud licensing and compliance (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus
• 710 years of experience in IT license management and compliance roles, preferably in large-scale or multinational organizations.
