The role will be specifically for Western Asset, a globally integrated fixed income manager who is a subsidiary of Franklin Templeton. We are looking for a Senior Specialist for the Global Trade Services (GTS) team. 
  
 Global Trade Services (GTS), part of the Investment Operations WAM Group, plays a vital role in minimizing settlement risk across fixed income and equity products. The team works collaboratively with internal departments and external partners to ensure accurate trade execution and compliance with global regulations.    Core Responsibilities:   
  
  -   You will lead projects and provide subject matter expertise.  
-   You will guide implementation of complex products and support project managers.  
-   You will resolve production issues and implement long-term solutions.  
-   You will coordinate settlements for physical and private credit deals.  
-   You will represent IO&S in onboarding and integration discussions.  
-   You will analyze control gaps and implement preventive measures.  
-   You will manage claim disputes and fail charges with custodians and counterparties.  
 
  
   Strategic Responsibilities:   
  
  -   You will maintain and update department-level risk models.  
-   You will lead system and process enhancements.  
-   You will collaborate with FTT, FTS PMO, and internal teams.  
-   You will foster relationships with front office and external partners.  
-   You will support testing and meetings with vendors and business units.  
-   You will stay informed on market and legislative trends impacting operations.

   What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role    
  -   bachelors degree or equivalent experience.  
-   7+ years in asset management or investment operations.  
-   Experience in trade execution and settlements.  
 
  
   Technical Skills:   
  
  -   Knowledge of physical and private credit deals.  
-   Expertise in US, global, and emerging markets.  
-   Familiarity with TMPG, CSDR, and fail charges.  
-   Experience with automation tools like Xceptor and Alteryx.  
-   Understanding of IO&S systems and FTI products.
