Job Description

You will be responsible for executing the on-time delivery of bulk production to secure and grow the business in the region through responsible sourcing practices and validation of vendors" performance and capability. As a part of the Manufacturing & Sourcing department at Ralph Lauren Corporation in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of goods for placed orders. You are expected to collaborate closely with vendors and counterparts in New York to manage bulk production timelines effectively. Your essential duties and responsibilities will include taking handover from the product development team on placed orders, working on the bulk Time and Action calendar, approving samples and trim cards based on brand guidelines, monitoring raw material status, visiting factories, reviewing line plans, managing cargo and inspection bookings, contributing to lead time and price reduction, creating and maintaining purchase orders, and guiding vendor merchandisers to achieve deliverables. To excel in this role, you should have at least 8 years of merchandising/sourcing experience, preferably with a US buying office or large trading business. You must possess profound product and material knowledge in high-end brands with a good fashion sense. Adaptability, flexibility, attention to detail, independent work capability, strong PC skills (especially in Excel), excellent interpersonal and communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and fluency in spoken and written English are essential for success in this position. Exposure to multiple brands, calendars, and product categories will be an added advantage.,
