Job Description

As a Senior Solar Design Engineer at Artha Energy Resources, you will be responsible for the comprehensive design of solar PV systems, with a focus on rooftop projects for commercial and industrial clients. Your role will encompass every aspect of the design process, from initial feasibility studies to detailed engineering, requiring a high level of technical proficiency and problem-solving capabilities. In addition, you will play a key role in guiding and mentoring junior engineers within the team. Your responsibilities will include proficiency in solar PV system design for various rooftop applications, utilizing tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Solarlab. You will be expected to conduct energy generation simulations and performance analyses using PV Syst, as well as handle tasks such as cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, and cable scheduling for AC and DC systems. Your expertise should extend to areas such as earthing design, lightning protection, and module mounting structures, along with shadow analysis, load calculations, and panel layout optimization. A strong understanding of national and international standards, including IS, IEC, MNRE, and DISCOM norms, will be essential for this role. You should be capable of interpreting architectural and structural drawings, conducting site surveys, and preparing technical documentation such as BOQs and SLDs. Effective coordination with vendors, EPC teams, and clients throughout the design and execution phases will be crucial, as you manage multiple rooftop projects simultaneously. To qualify for this position, you must hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering, along with 3-5 years of relevant experience in solar design engineering. A proven track record of successful solar project designs, familiarity with industry standards, and proficiency in software tools like AutoCAD and PVsyst are necessary. Your ability to work both independently and collaboratively, knowledge of grid-tied and off-grid systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are also expected. Flexibility for travel to conduct site assessments as required will be an integral part of this role.,
