As a Software Engineer 2 (SDET) at OLX India, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining automation frameworks for UI and API testing. You will work in Gurugram office, contributing to a platform with over 100+ million app downloads in various categories like cars, bikes, real estate, and electronics. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, build, and maintain scalable UI and API automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Playwright, Appium, or Cypress. - Write clean and reusable automation scripts with Java, Python, or JavaScript. - Convert manual test cases into automated suites to ensure comprehensive test coverage. - Conduct functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing on web and mobile platforms. - Identify test scenarios, create detailed test plans, and keep documentation up to date. - Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or CircleCI. - Implement and monitor quality gates in CI for test coverage, flaky test detection, and stability checks. - Perform root-cause analysis of failures and collaborate with developers on solutions. - Generate and share test results through execution dashboards with clarity. **Tools & Technologies:** - Proficiency in Selenium, Playwright, Appium, or Cypress for automation testing. - Experience with API testing tools like Postman, Rest Assured, Karate, or similar. - Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI. - Ability to work with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.
