Senior Software Test Engineer

Role Overview: You are a seasoned Senior Software Test Engineer joining Novatro's engineering team to ensure high-quality test coverage, functional confidence, and end-to-end solution quality. You will work closely with technology leadership and cross-functional Agile teams in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment, focusing on designing and leading test strategies spanning from team-level features to solution-level integration. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks for web and mobile applications to ensure scalable, reusable, and efficient test coverage. - Act as the voice of the customer alongside the product team. - Utilize GenAI-based test automation platforms like Test Sigma and others. - Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define test strategies for high test coverage and functional quality confidence. - Implement automated functional, regression, performance, and integration tests to validate features and system quality. - Lead manual and exploratory testing to cover edge cases and complex scenarios. - Continuously enhance test coverage and automation effectiveness by identifying gaps, proposing improvements, and integrating modern testing tools and practices. - Integrate into DevOps CI/CD pipelines and SDLC. - Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking systems, ensuring timely resolution by working closely with developers. - Monitor and analyze test results to provide feedback and ensure delivery of high-quality, defect-free software. - Stay updated with emerging trends and tools in test automation and software quality engineering, bringing in best practices to the team. - Advocate for robust testing practices and foster a culture of test-first development across the engineering team. Qualifications Required: - 5-10 years of experience as a Senior Software Test Engineer with expertise in test automation development and software testing execution. - Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Katalon Studio, Appium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar. - Hands-on experience with GenAI-driven test automation platforms like TestSigma, Katalon Studio, Mabl, Functionize is a plus. - Proficiency in programming/scripting languages like Java, Python, JavaScript for building automation scripts and frameworks. - Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, testing types, and best practices. - Practical experience with CI/CD and DevOps integration. - Knowledge of defect management tools like Jira, Aha for issue tracking and reporting. - Analytical and problem-solving skills to monitor test execution results and troubleshoot failures. - Familiarity with performance, load, and integration testing tools like JMeter. - Excellent collaboration and communication skills to align test strategies with product goals. - Continuous learner mindset to keep up with industry trends and emerging testing frameworks. - Ability to champion a culture of quality, mentor team members, and promote test-first and automation-first approaches.
